THE LOOK OF
THE JAGUAR -
A PROJECTED
FOREST
Deep in the forest, the jaguar walks slowly and spies on the visitor. The earth feels the city emerging, the cars passing by, the smoke blocking the horizon. What is the possibility of living in this world here and now? Artists like shamans cross worlds translating meanings, illuminating dreams, showing other dimensions. After the catastrophe there is always renewal: the world turns, the jaguar walks down the avenue, the buildings turn into trees.
THE LOOK OF THE JAGUAR - the projected forest is a poetic visual work that brings the perspective of the forest over the city, through the voice and the artistic work of indigenous leaders and artists. The video was part of the Virada Cultural of São Paulo in 2020, being projected during 8 hours in different places of the city, and will be presented in the ATL - Terra Livre Camp program in 2021.
