SILENCE OF
THE WORLD
The scenic experiment silence of the world brought together the indigenous leader Ailton Krenak and the performer Andreia Duarte, during the 27th Porto Alegre Em Cena - International Scenic Arts Festival, at the city's main theater, Theatro São Pedro, which had a maximum capacity of 700 people.
The play deepened the perception of the time of myth as a space of invention, different from the time of certainty that only limits imagination and being in the world. Silence of the World evokes a way to recognize humans as just another planetary species, alongside the so-called non-humans: the animals, rivers, mountains, plants, and everything that exists. A way to call attention to the fact that there is still life clinging to the earth, as are indigenous peoples, who recognize that we need to connect with the living organism that is the planet.
